About Bottega Pizzeria
The first thing that registers is the heat — that dry, rolling wave off the wood-fired oven cutting through the dining room like a pulse. Then the smell: blistered dough, charred mozzarella, olive oil cracking in the heat. The space on Boulevard Saint-Martin is sharper than its strip-mall surroundings deserve, all clean lines and warm lighting that feels borrowed from a Mile End wine bar. Prices sit comfortably in the mid-range, which means you can order recklessly across the small plates without flinching at the bill. The wine list isn't deep, but it's smart enough — a handful of Italian bottles that actually pair instead of just filling a page. Service moves at a good clip, attentive without hovering, though it can thin out when the terrace fills up on warm nights. Groups do well here; the energy scales with the table size, and splitting a pile of antipasti is the whole point. Bring four friends, fight over the margherita, over-order the small plates, and grab the patio before July turns it into a waiting game.
Refined Neapolitan wood-fired pizzas & small plates, with select wines, in an urbane space.
