The outside says strip-mall corridor off Boulevard le Carrefour, all parking lots and chain signage — you'd never guess what's behind the door. Inside it's dim, louder than it needs to be, heavy on dark wood and the sharp sweet funk of lime and mezcal cutting through the room. This is a group restaurant, plain and simple — round up five or six people, claim a big table, and let the tequila list do the talking. The margaritas are strong, leaning a touch sweet, but they're built to disappear fast when the conversation gets loud. Food lands somewhere between competent and genuinely satisfying: the guacamole is made with enough conviction to trust the kitchen, and the heavier plates hold up as drinking food, which is really the point. Service can lag when it's packed, but nobody here is in a rush, and the vibe rewards patience. For Laval after ten o'clock, this is one of the few places still breathing, which matters more than you think on a Saturday night. Bring the loud friends, skip the solo dinner idea, and don't leave without trying at least one mezcal cocktail you can't pronounce.
