About Restaurant Sekoya
Walk through the entrance on a stretch of Boulevard le Carrefour that does absolutely nothing to prepare you for what's inside. The room is moody without being pretentious — warm lighting, clean lines, a hum of conversation that tells you people actually want to be here rather than just needing a place to eat near the mall. Laval doesn't exactly scream dining destination, and that gap between expectation and reality is what makes a meal here land harder than it should. The terrace is where you want to be when the weather cooperates: cocktails in hand, string lights overhead, the suburban sprawl dissolving into something that almost feels like a night out downtown. Service moves at a confident pace — attentive without hovering, which is rarer than it should be for a spot this far from the Plateau. It handles groups well, the kind of place where six or eight people can actually hear each other and still feel like they're having a proper evening. Brunch draws a serious crowd so don't roll up without a reservation unless you enjoy standing around with your arms crossed. Grab a seat on that terrace on a Thursday night when the weekend chaos hasn't kicked in yet — you'll wonder why you ever bothered fighting for parking on Saint-Laurent.
