Perched up in the old medina of Tangier — not Marrakech, despite what some booking sites will tell you — this former private villa stares straight out at the Strait of Gibraltar. The bones are gorgeous: tiled floors, whitewashed walls, that heavy North African light pouring through arched windows. Service can be uneven, and the three-star rating feels honest — you're paying for atmosphere more than polish. Book a sea-facing room or don't bother.
