Dark stairs, heavy door, then you're in — low ceilings, velvet everywhere, the kind of moody lighting that makes everyone look better than they deserve. Old Montréal does the speakeasy thing hard, and this one leans into it with cocktails and oysters, which is a combination I'll never argue with. Good for a group that wants to feel like they're getting away with something on a Thursday night. Book ahead and start with the oysters before the drinks take over.
