The lobby hits you first — all that restored Renaissance Revival stone married to sharp, modern lines. It's the kind of place where the old money bones of the Golden Square Mile haven't been sanded away, just reframed. Rooms are bright and generous, the spa is genuinely excellent, and the bar downstairs has enough weight to warrant a visit even if you're not staying. Not cheap, but it earns it. Book a corner suite if the budget allows — the light through those tall windows is worth every dollar.
