Tight little Japanese spot on Mont-Royal that runs like a well-oiled machine. The room is small and warm, the kind of place where you can hear the kitchen working and smell dashi before you've even sat down. Veg-friendly menu that doesn't feel like an afterthought. Good sake list, better than it needs to be. Reserve ahead — they don't do big groups, and with a 4.8 from six hundred people, empty seats are rare. Go solo at the counter if you can.
