The graffiti-tagged roll-down entrance on Faubourg Saint-Denis looks like it should lead to a kebab shop, not one of the sharpest cocktail programs in Paris. Inside it's dim, loud, and unapologetically French — every spirit on the back bar is domestic. Drinks are inventive and stiff, built around Armagnacs, Calvados, and liqueurs most people outside the Hexagone have never heard of. Prices sting, but the pours justify it. Go late, grab a group, and let the bartender pick for you.
