About Chantefable

Big, loud, unapologetically Parisian corner bistro up on Avenue Gambetta, far enough from the center that your table neighbors are actually locals. Art deco bones — tiled floors, brass fixtures, mirrors that have seen a century of cigarette smoke. The terrace fills fast when it's warm, and the noise level inside climbs steadily after nine. Prices won't wreck you. Get the tartare, a carafe of something from the southwest, and don't rush.

Tartare, foie gras & steak, plus coffee, pastries & regional wines, at a veteran, art deco bistro.
