Small, no-reservations Japanese spot tucked into the 5th near Rue Mouffetard. The space is tight — don't bring a group, don't expect elbow room — but the fish is clean and bright and the rice is properly seasoned, which is more than you can say for half the sushi counters in Paris. Prices won't wreck you, and they do takeout if you'd rather eat on the quay. Go at lunch to beat the wait.
