Pink stucco and bougainvillea spilling over wrought iron — the whole place feels like it wandered off a Catalonian cliff and landed on Prospect Street. La Jolla's coastline sits right there, and the lobby smells like old tile and salt air. Rooms are handsome but the rates will make your eyes water, so know that going in. Worth it for a long weekend where you do absolutely nothing. Grab a drink by the pool around golden hour and watch the Pacific do its thing.
