Concrete and wood and that particular Ace smell — something between a gallery opening and a very expensive candle. The rooms are pared back, almost monk-like, but the textures are right: good linens, warm lighting, nothing screaming at you. Camden Street puts you close to King West's noise without sleeping in it. The rooftop bar is the real draw — go on a weeknight when you can actually get a seat and watch the city flicker.
